B&B, Tamar Valley, Cornwall

Rezare Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast offers comfortable, characterful accommodation with an emphasis on good food and sustainability. We have been awarded 4 Stars and a Silver Award in VisitBritain's quality scheme, and a Silver Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Dogs are welcome.

Situated in a quiet, peaceful hamlet within the Tamar Valley AONB on the Cornwall / Devon border, midway between Bodmin moor and Dartmoor, you will be perfectly placed to explore the region's many and varied attractions. These include beautiful walking, cycling and horse riding country; canoeing, sailing, salmon and sea trout fishing on the River Tamar; stunning coastlines; many places of historical interest, including a number of National Trust properties and gardens; and a strong regional food culture.

Although no longer a working farm, the surrounding area is entirely agricultural, which means that on the rare occassions that any traffic passes through, it is almost guaranteed to be a tractor. A number of residents keep their own animals, including sheep, cattle, and chickens, and the extensive birdlife produces a variety of sound which is a joy to wake up to.

The house itself is full of character, with many original features still in place. The main section was built some time in the mid - late 1600's, a mixture of granite, slate, and whatever other stone was to hand being used for the walls on the ground floor, cob ( mud and straw ) on the first floor, with several extensions added over the centuries, none less than a couple of hundred years ago. The age of the property doesn't mean that you will be missing out on modern facilities, however; for instance, guests have free access to our secured wifi network from all rooms in the house.

Breakfast and evening meals are served in the slate-floored, stone-walled dining room. This room also doubles as the guests' lounge, with several comfortable arm chairs and antique wooden chairs to choose from, the large, welcoming wood burner being lit most evenings from the Autumn through to Spring.

Unfortunately, because of the layout of the house we are unable to provide access for wheelchairs, and would recommend that if you are at all concerned about access it would be best to call us in advance. Click here to download our access statement.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have; we look forward to welcoming you to our home.
Nanette and Anthony Manning.
