Christmas special break

Our three night dinner, bed and breakfast Christmas break, from 24th to 27th December, offers you the chance to relax in informal, comfortable surroundings, with time and space in which to alternately reflect upon the past twelve months, and forget about them entirely.

Our aim is to provide an antidote to the organised party games and timetabled structure that you might find in hotels over Christmas. This time of year, to us, is about taking it easy for a few days, enjoying good company, and eating well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Christmas Eve you will be welcomed with mulled cider and home-made mince pies in front of the wood burner. In the evening we will provide a seasonal three-course meal that will set the tone for the next couple of days.
Christmas lunch starts with a complimentary glass or two of Camel Valley's celebrated Brut. We normally serve duck because it is so much richer in flavour, and when combined with the fruit stuffing and savoury cabbage, much more evocative of how good English food can be. After a walk, or game of cards or scrabble, you might like a slice of Christmas cake with tea while you look forward to the evening's light supper, which will consist of a soup, or paté and cheese.
You might like to spend Boxing day enjoying a walk through the woods down to the River Tamar, up on either Bodmin moor or Dartmoor, or out along the coast, or you might like to get out on your bike for a ride through the quiet lanes. You might like to spend it reading and sleeping in front of the fire. However you prepare for it, dinner will once again be waiting - a slightly lighter, but no less satisfying offering.
We are licensed, and stock a selection of award-winning, locally produced wines, beers and ciders to enjoy with the food.
For those interested, Church service times over the period can be provided.
The cost of the Christmas break is £265.00 per person for 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast. Early booking is recommended. Please feel free to contact us for more details, or to discuss menu options.
