Christmas special break
Our three night dinner, bed and breakfast Christmas break, from 24th to 27th December, offers you the chance to relax in informal, comfortable surroundings, with time and space in which to reflect upon the past twelve months, or forget about them entirely.
Christmas Eve
On arrival, you will be welcomed with mulled apple juice and home-made mince pies in front of the wood burner. In the evening we will provide a seasonal three-course meal, freshly prepared by ex-chef Nanette, that will set the tone for the next couple of days.
Christmas Lunch
Start with a complimentary glass or two of Camel Valley's celebrated Cornwall Brut, with a leisurely meal following during the afternoon ( see the panel to the right for last year's menus, or click here for previous years' menus ).
Christmas Supper
After a walk, or game of cards or scrabble, enjoy a selection of excellent local cheeses, fruits and Christmas cake.
Boxing Day
Take a walk through the woods down to the River Tamar, up on either Bodmin Moor or Dartmoor, or out along the coast. Alternatively, take your bike for a ride through the quiet country lanes, or simply spend it reading and relaxing in front of the fire.
However you prepare for it, dinner will once again be waiting in the evening - a slightly lighter, but no less satisfying offering.
We are licensed, and stock a selection of award-winning, locally produced wines, beers and ciders.
