Evening meals

Three-course meals are available most evenings, freshly prepared by Nanette, who spent 20 years working in the catering industry, starting as a waitress in her father's restaurant then working her way up to the position of head chef in several successful establishments ( her last position being at Moorish, in Ashburton, Devon, for two years until October 2004 ).

The menus, which change daily, make full use of the fact that we have many excellent producers and suppliers of meat, fish, vegetables and cheeses locally. We use seasonal produce whenever possible, from our own vegetable garden when available, and use ingredients that speak for themselves, cooking them simply and with care, with the minimum of fuss.

All special dietary requirements are catered for, and if you have any particular likes or dislikes, we will be happy to take them into consideration.

We are licensed, and stock a range of award-winning, locally produced wines (Camel Valley and Sharpham), beers (Skinners Brewery) and ciders (Cornish Orchards).

If you are visiting friends or family in the area you are welcome to invite them to eat here. We can cater for a party of up to ten people, depending on how many other guests we have staying, and whether they are eating with us. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your ideas.
