17th century Cornish farmhouse

Characterful, cosy farmhouse

Dining room and guests' lounge
It was constructed in the same way that most traditional Cornish farmhouses of the period were, with a mixture of slate, granite, and whatever other stone was to hand being used for the walls on the ground floor, cob ( mud and straw ) on the first floor.
Breakfast and evening meals are served in the characterful dining room, around a large, communal, interestingly figured antique oak table. The room is dominated by the large, original fireplace and the welcoming woodburner, lit on chilly evenings if the room is in use. This room doubles as the guests' lounge, with several comfortable antique arm chairs to choose from.
The age of the property doesn't mean that you will be missing out on modern comforts or facilities. The very thick walls of a traditional Cornish farmhouse coupled with good insulation and efficient heating make for a lovely, cosy environment to stay in. Guests also have access to our free, secured wifi network from all rooms in the house, if required.
